We're switching track, slightly. Cthork Borg is a game about cosmic horror, based on (gasp!) Mörk Borg.

Habit. You may take on Debt during an investigation and, each time you do, you recover 1 Omen. You may continue to take on Debt until your Social Standing is at -3.

Rock Bottom. Once per investigation, when you Break, you may ignore all consequences from the Break, recover to 4 Hit Points, discard 2 Debt, and gain a -3 DR bonus on all tests for the next hour. If that hour ends without you Breaking again, you Break again.

Stella’s Lament: You have a waitress job that pays nothing, and that comes with a kind of expenses you don’t have when you’re rich. 

You have to buy a beater car because you’re poor and need to get to work. When the beater dies, you need to pay to get it fixed with money from the job they fire you from because of you being late. Then the beater’s repoed. 

The pills didn’t help. You’re not an idiot. It did help you to compartmentalize. Having a little bit of room in your head that’s free of everyday shit is worth a lot. So, your parents don’t talk to you anymore. That’s a relief, really. Prayers and reproach was all you got from them anyway.

Detroit, 1946. When people think of a woman assassin, they think of some Rita Hayworth-looking glamorpuss. That’s not Arlene. This is a hack of TROIKA! (and Fighting Fantasy in general). You play the part of a creature serving an evil overlord. The war against the Forces of good isn’t going as planned, and it may be time for some hard decisions. Do you stay and fight or desert? Do you try to switch sides (as if the Forces of Good would ever trust or shelter you)? Or do you maybe have some crazy scheme which might turn the tide in your favor, and visit doom upon the armies of elves, dwarves, humans and warrior angels.
