Day 01: Friedah Colmberg: Vampire Hunter (for Black Powder & Brimstone)

The first character of the month is a vampire hunter for Black Powder & Brimstone, a Mörk Borg hack, inspired by the 30 year war, Warhammer fantasy, and films like The Blood on Satan's Claw.

You may reroll a misfire dice but you must keep the second roll.

You went to Ravenscrown Academy, and may reroll a single roll a day, if it pertains to hunting vampires. 

You start with: 2 pistols, 12 shot, 2 gunpowder pouches, pouch of grain, salt, stake and hammer, Ravenscrown capotain. 

Firearms Repair Kit 
While at rest, you may use this handy kit to repair a damaged firearm. However, if the weapon is broken beyond repair it cannot be salvaged. 





You went to Ravenscrown Academy, and you’re not ashamed to say that it shaped you. All the extreme discipline and forced marches in all kinds of weather helped focus you. You’ve pulled through many an all-nighter in crypts and ditches by reminding yourself that at least it’s not as bad as unsalted porridge and pushups in the rain.

Now, Ravenscrown was burned down by a frightened mob, but before that happened it turned orphans like yourself into soldiers against the undead. Vampires, the pariah hounds of the underworld are your quarry. You’ve had many close calls and encountered the enemy in many forms. The leech-mouths that haunted the Floodland. The impostor viscount of Krenz. The bat-maidens of Old Erib. Each left an instructive mark.

Things have changed lately. You have started noticing families. Young lovers. Old couples. Could that be you? Could you exchange this life of walking towards death for something like love?

Detroit, 1946. When people think of a woman assassin, they think of some Rita Hayworth-looking glamorpuss. That’s not Arlene. This is a hack of TROIKA! (and Fighting Fantasy in general). You play the part of a creature serving an evil overlord. The war against the Forces of good isn’t going as planned, and it may be time for some hard decisions. Do you stay and fight or desert? Do you try to switch sides (as if the Forces of Good would ever trust or shelter you)? Or do you maybe have some crazy scheme which might turn the tide in your favor, and visit doom upon the armies of elves, dwarves, humans and warrior angels.
