HIT POINTS: 10

John is a sixty-something man with a grey beard and slight limp. His native Swedish accent is all but gone, replaced by a soft transatlantic accent.

He has worked himself up from being a bouncer at Stockholm nightclubs in the 80s, to limo driver, and then fixer to those with the money to pay. He’s procured drugs, prostitutes, tarnished reputations, and even done a few hits. Nothing personal, all for money.

The problem is that John is getting old. The work tires him out, and he can see the day coming when he simply can’t do it anymore. The trouble is that he knows way too much about many powerful people. John’s replacement would most likely kill him as their first job.

John has taken one last job, one that pays well without sounding like it would be too gruelling. Man, was that wrong. Trying to find a copy of the cult movie Châtiment has brought John into contact with a small army of weirdos. A couple of movie forgers, an ‘occult installation artist’, and a wannabe snuff film director and his fetid cronies. The only thing that keeps John going is stubbornness, and the fact that the payout will set his grandson Christer up for life. If he has to wade through scores of sick geeks, so be it.
