Day 08: Kestrel Harbinger, Infinite Love Battalion

There is the capacity for love inside every sapient creature. That love can be a political force. So says the Infinite Love Battalion, a revolutionary force sweeping the galaxies. Societies not based on love (capitalist, totalitarian, feudal, darkly religious etc.) must be brought around by force. Kestrel is a veteran of these wars. The irony isn’t lost on her, but she knows that “war is the way we break open hardened hearts”. That is one of her favorite passages in Foreperson Sweetie’s Pink Book of Infinite Love.

Kestrel is a one-woman army, but her main goal is to spread the word of Infinite Love through FunWar. The gladiatorial game is the  biggest platform in the known universe, and the only way to take advantage of it is to participate.

Kestrel has some quite rosy memories of the agrarian life back on her home planet, but the truth is that her memories are largely built on what she has been told.

160 HP / 50 EVA / 6 SPD / 2 HAND

Base attack: Melee / 0 / very weak bludgeoning

1 pt ///Sword
Melee / 0 / average slashing / 1 hand

1 pt ///Blaster
12 squares / 0 / strong beam / 2 hands / 1 battery of 10 shots

2 pt ///6 Grenades
3 Frag Grenades: 3 square radius / 0 / strong piercing
3 Incendiary Grenades: 3 square radius / 0 / strong fire
As an attack, throw the grenade to a point of your choice within six squares; the grenade then does something in a radius around that origin point, depending on the grenade type. You only need to roll to hit if the grenade performs an attack or you’re throwing it onto a moving object.

2 pt ///Good Armor
You have 20 External Protection. Reduce damage taken from any external source by this
amount; it does not work against damage dealt from within your body itself, such as everbleed.
External Protection does not stack - you cannot gain the benefits of External Protection from multiple functions or other effects at the same time.

2 pt ///Battery Jetpack
You can fly at your movement speed plus 2 squares. -10 evasion while flying. Two rounds worth of charge, gain a new charge by not using it for one round.

2 pt ///Athletically Trained
+30 to all athletics checks - jumping, swimming, climbing, grapples, etc.

1 pt ///On Edge
You can spend a swift action to increase your evasion by 5 until the beginning of your next turn. You can spend multiple swift actions on a given turn to increase your evasion multiple times.

1 pt ///Aware
You have +25 to perception checks and +10 to knowledge checks (the latter based off of accumulated guesswork).

Weakness: 2 pt ::: Compulsive Monologue
You must spread the word about love being stronger than violence, as violence commences. Spreading the word is the real reason you’re here.

Each wave, once combat begins and no sooner, you must begin a monologue. Mechanically, a monologue consists of eight lines. Until you have completed eight lines of a monologue, you must spend an action on each of your turns monologuing: spending a move action completes one line of your monologue, a standard action completes two lines, and a full-round action completes four lines. You can spend multiple actions on the same turn to complete more and more of your monologue
This monologuing is compulsory - you must do it even if it's realistically not in your best interest.

You can still fight and perform actions before completing your monologue - but you have to
do it alongside spending actions to monologue each turn.

Although not mechanically required, it's strongly recommended for narrative purposes that you roleplay the monologue itself, one line being approximately between five and ten words
